It was my best running year ever. I just finished my year with an 8-miler to make it 3,506 for the year, up from 2,952 last year. The highlights of the year were two: first, a cross-country relay from Tillamook, Oregon to Boston, Ma. I logged 325 miles on that one in 30 days with the greatest group of teammates one could ever hope for. It was a once in a lifetime experience. And second, I ran the Portland Marathon in 302:33. Not astonishing, but very satisfying at age 46, particularly since it's a PR for me.
My goals for next year are to average 10 miles per day for the entire year, and to break 3:00 for the marathon, preferably at Boston.
