Anyone use this to prevent lactic acid buid up?
Not personally - the two things I've heard were: a. To really buffer your blood for a race, the amounts you need to take cause intense gastrointestinal distress after about 30 minutes; b. I heard some folks took much smaller doses (mixed it in a little test tube) after hard workouts to improve recovery. They couldn't tell if it helped or not; they were just doing what the coach told them.
