You did not watch the Mo "victory." Elsewise, you would see the light.
I watched mo's victory I have also watched Meb's victory at the Boston Marathon if you get my drift Lol
Just another dirty Somalian. Goes from training fodder for mottram's group to double oly champ and a 3.28 1500m. Riiiiiiiight.
Ummm, no you did not... drift 'back' is what Mo had the leader in his race do. Meb was not passed.

LOOOOOOOL TOOO FUNNNY!
Lol he wasn't passed because 'all of sudden' the Africans couldn't find their way in the last couple of KMs, yeah right ..that god damn Marathon resembled more of a Hollywood movie than an actual athletic event ..Hell , they dont even need to make a movie about the Boston Marathon 2014 edition Lmao
We both know the Boston Marathon was more of a sham than the Great North run ever was

1) I will agree that Farah's race looked extremely peculiar. However, the logistics associated with trying to fix such a large race make it very improbable that it would happen. There are dozens of Marathons and Half Marathons where seemingly no-name Kenyans and Ethiopians have massive breakthroughs. In order to properly fix the race, the directors would've effectively had to bribe every East African runner present, and then make sure that they didn't break the news. Certainly, they could simply have JUST bribed Farah's pacer, but that seems very risky considering how many East Africans could simply pop out of the blue and have a good day.
2) Meb's race also looked very peculiar. How often is it that you see a group of East Africans simply let somebody go? Especially at a pace that they can very easily handle. If you look at Chebet and Chepkwony's splits in particular, you can see that right when the 30K mark rolled around, their 5k splits rapidly sped up, going from 15:30 --> sub-15:00 despite the 30K - 35K being right along a very large elevation increase.
Compare that to the next several finishers, Shafar, who went from 15:40 to 15:30, Kimurer, who was about 15:30 for both, Arciniaga, who was 16:00 for both, Eggleston, who slowed from 15:4X to ~16:00, Lonyangata, who went from 15:30 to 15:40, and Annani, who went from 15:40 to over 16:00. The only other finisher who seriously sped up at all was the Ethiopian Geneti.
When the numbers are taken into consideration with the way the race unfolded, it seriously appeared as though the East Africans just waited until Meb was a good amount ahead, and then blasted it at a pace much more suitable for them. Oh yes, I recall some saying that they thought Meb would "come back" later during the race, but really, who the Hell would let the Olympic Silver medalist and winner of New York just run away like that?
And it all occurred the year after the bombing, when crowds of Americans were blabbering on and on about ideas of "patriotism" and whatnot being associated with Boston.
And just for the record, I don't actually believe that either race was fixed. Too many uncontrollable risks associated with trying to do something like that in a race that's so long and so large.
In 13 or 26 miles, anything could happen to screw the race up for a single runner. I recall that Wesley Korir during the 2012 Boston Marathon was completely overwhelmed from the heat and ran something like 2:20+. Hall suffered a similar fate during the 2014 Boston Marathon when he just faded horribly during the race.
I just find it amusing that certain people can bring up a slew of "suspicious points" associated with a single event while completely ignoring similarly suspicious points associated with others, with the only difference being that one of the events was more associated with a runner they disliked.
It's similar to how everyone on this board accuses every East African associated with Jos Hermens do be doping, but would never even imagine the possibility of Ryan Vail doping, despite the fact that he's associated with Jos Hermens.
Why does it matter if he won or lost that race? He lost it last year to Bekele. Would he have won a rare GOAT Half Marathon medal? Would it have improved some head-to-head record? Would his time not have counted if he lost?
What's it to you, because for Mo, it was just a local half marathon.

That's what came to my mind when I saw Shalane Flanagan comming across the line to take first place last April.
that is how much he is worth - or rather his company has. That will be taxed if he takes it out.
