Running for the Ducks?
Witness protection it seems.
She did not run in Seattle yesterday but Cranny won the women's race. Does she have a shot at the podium this year?
Found out at the last minute Cranny was racing, the Duck ducked
I saw her in some photos recently. She wasn't obviously injured, as in no crutches, no boot. She may have had a physical setback at some point but it wasn't apparent.
Her absence throughout 2014 fits the impression that the NXN race was an emotional heartbreaker for her. That post-race interview especially summed up how disoriented she was feeling and she hasn't really raced since.
I think she'll get back in there soon but watching her 2013 peers (Cranny and Efraimson) shine at World Jrs., turn pro, and win their collegiate debuts has to further exacerbate any loss of competitive drive she may be feeling.
It was very weird how she became "injured" right after she tied bethan Knights in the 3200m. She ran a lot faster than she had in prior years that early in season but she tied vs her usual win. I feel that broke her even more after the loss at nxn, cause now she had not lost just one race but two in a row. (Well the second one was a tie not a loss but still not a win)
IMO she had a very early breakthrough in her career and I think she will not be a top 20 if she runs XC at NCAAS.
NXN is a palindrome wrote:

She was forced to cut her senior season short because of injury.
http://tinyurl.com/p6w7u2kI wouldn't be surprised if she redshirts if she isn't ready to compete at her best level. Do the Ducks really need her this year for XC? Is their cupboard that bare?
This is going to be a tough track season for her (indoor and/or out) with real competition and not glorified time-trials (other than with Knights). We know she can run cross well, even if others (stars as that is what AE and EC are) can beat her. Given the expectations of so many - does she do well (meaning win NCAA) or does she fail (not winning NCAA) - best to wait until she is ready next season as there are far fewer expectations for her on the track.
The point should be to see her progress to a god Senior (post-grad) level. What is the freakin' hurry?
why can't oregon just declare that her and waverly neer are redshirting?
I don't get it why red shirt your top 2 runners Oregon Neer and Baxter WTF Oregon with those 2 you will most likely win NCAA's this year. :(
Sounds like they are both probably injured. What I find amazing is the lack of news about Baxter. One of the greatest HSXC girls ever and you think some reporter would find out why she hasn't raced.
Flotrack just put up her Mt Sac's race.
Neer looks pretty fit in this vine she just posted.
Ya I was wondering this too. You gotta figure these two would score 1/2 if they were healthy/fit.
