There are a lot of factors to speak of.
First, you have to have to deep down desire to try to reach the top, at all costs. I am not giving up anytime soon.
Second, keep your training very high-volume. If you cannot run, then do cross training, walking, biking, swimming, anything. Keep the body active.
I recharge with some R&R here in Thailand. This is well-known. I have mainly been doing cross-training (biking, stairmaster, lifting) for the past two weeks.
