This race deserves it's own thread.
The men's 1500m didn't have rabbits at the Continental Cup. The first 400 was a slow 65.95. Then it got slower 2:15.83.
Kiprop was in last until about 450 to go when he made a power move to the front where he hit the bell in second on the outside ofSouleiman.
The flew the final lap. 50.09 the final lap and 36.8 the last 300. They were side by side down the stretch but Souleiman was too good.
Kiprop's best chance as not to waste all the energy from 450 to 400 to get the lead. Plus he had to run wide on the turns.
Anyone know of any 1500s closing in sub 50?
