Looked so easy.
He's certainly in good shape. We'd love to see him race the DL final.

Interesting that so far, Rupp has the better season time-wise. Still the better pb in the two miles.
Just wonder why he has such a hard time in the 5k and never runs a quality 3k.
Mo also never in his life ran any quality 3k...
I have a hard time criticizing Rupp after his 10000 but I also wonder why he cant seem to run big 5000..
I also wish he would run more mile/3ks.
His 5ks seem slow compared to his 3:50/7:30/26:44s but maybe they arent I'm not sure. Obviously 13 flat is hardly slow.

So Rupp's indoor 7.30 isn't a quality 3k?
I'm glad he at least chose to put in a decent effort. I assumed pre-race that he'd easily win in about 8:22.
The only real scalp that he took: Emmanuel bett

Farah pushed it the last 3 laps.
We should start a gofundme account for him to run in Zurich.
What do you think? How much money do you think it would take?
People would rally around Mo, if he lost they'd like the fact he took on the best and lost. A win - win or win -lose proposition.
Funny to think that Mottram would have beaten him. I miss the days of Mottram. Anyone else?
+1 for Mottram. "Buster" would talk how good he was and how bad he was I won't try to quote but it seems he always came off as this "if its coming down to the last 300 its mine and they can't take what's mine." The Kenyans had a nickname for him, The "Big Mzungo" which means the big white man.
I think he recently raced a very hilly 15k in sub5 form

It would take several hundred thousand dollars.
If Mo book a flight to Zurich and participate in Thursday 5k race and end up winning i'm pretty sure people would still complaining about his winning in slow race and his usual sit and kick style.. It's really getting old around here when it comes to Mo Farah

absolutely correct.
I don't get it.
Bolt ducks the competition all year and no one says a word.
Farah ducks the competition (AFTER having run his first marathon against a stacked field) and that makes him somehow less of a super star.

I'm a bigger fan of Zane, personally. Get fast, or die trying, baby.

He was going after the British record (Ovett - 8.13), which he got. There was never any attempt, if the rabbit or he were even capable of it, to go after a sub-8.00 clocking. He took on the last three laps pretty well I thought. Don't know why anyone would have had expectations for more than that - certainly wasn't part of the plan. He spoke to the rabbits before the race, so it was about him and the time. Could he run faster? Likely, based on the last 3 laps, but if he was going after Komen's record (he wasn't), he would have needed to start that from the outset.
What would be the point in doing Zurich? He hasn't done enough meets to win the DL title, there is nothing to say that it will be "fast" (like sub-12.50), so why waste his time and reputation? He hasn't lost a championship race in a few years now - he is gearing up for 2015 Worlds and 2016 Olympics. Hopefully when he is at peak racing sharpness he will get in a few fast races then. Too many people run fast in these "off-year" seasons, then tank in the real championship season.
