This is a very basic upper-body test for the LRC
Do as many pushups as you can right now. How many can you do?
Bonus:
- How many diamond pushups can you do?
- How many times can you clap during a single pushup?

I got 38.
Prediction: X-fit guy posts on this thread dissing runners and says he can do 300+
I can do thousands of consecutive pushups. I'm serious and not kidding. I'm 5'11" 160 pounds. The thing is though I've kind of passed the point where I can add strength or even muscle endurance. My body can just do them is the best way to describe it. It's like going for a tempo run just trying to fight the lactic acid.
It's sort of turned into a cardiovascular exercise for me. That's why I've stopped doing so many recently and focused more on weights.
After I hit 100 I failed to do a single diamond push-up and couldn't even clap once.
A few months ago I tried and could do 38 perfect form pushups.
2 or 3 max
Truthfully...two
Zero. Not kidding, either.
Between a bad hernia "repair" from a few years ago, and my little heart attack last year, I'm at least a year away from *attempting* a pushup. In fact, it's one of my goals for 2015.
You physics/engineering folks can check me here: a strict-form pushup is basically like benching (strict form) half your body weight, correct?
27
5 on my knees, 0.5 on my toes
More than infinite.
Just tried it right now, barely 5 due to few few brewskis and a bad right shoulder (have tendonitis).

I can do more pull-ups than I can do push ups. Actually tested my max today after 3-4 months of no strength training. I got 6 push ups and 8 pull-ups.
countably infinite

44. Not proud of it, but haven't done a single pushup in over 6 months. Started feeling it after 20. Ugh.
Diamonds? Not sure, but not going to try it now after the other pushups.
Clap? I'd guess once. I used to be able to clap twice, but after struggling to only get 44, I've clearly lost quite a bit of strength, so doubt I could still get two claps in before face-planting.
my best is 110, but I've tapered back lately to take it easy on my shoulders cuz they've been bugging me, so I've only been doing 60-70 lately.

The GWR for nonstop is about 10,000. You should film yourself and check your form. It's easy to cheat on range of motion without realizing it.
I just did 620 full right angle in 5 sets which I do once a week. Max set was 140. But I'm not a distance runner.

Trouble with this is that the difficulty of doing pushups is strongly dependent on form and how low you go. If you're doing them for your own benefit then as long as you're consistent then you can make comparisons with your own past performance.
It's really hard to make meaningful comparisons with the performance of others.
