I need my afternoon icings or I am going to get reinjured. Now I cannot ice at my desk anymore? Someone HAD to have complained. Fat Jerks.
I keep my socks on if that matters.

What reason did they give you?
She just asked that I no longer ice my foot at my desk. I was kind of caught off guard and said no problem.
I'm not looking for trouble. HR is ruthless.

That's too bad. We have a lady named Ruth in our HR department and she is very helpful. I wish I could clone her and send her over to you :)
You should stop running too. It makes your coworkers feel fat and unhealthy.
Tell them if you're not allowed to ice your foot, you'll be taking time off to visit a doctor and filing an insurance claim. See if dey are hep wit dat.

^this you weenie
The question you must ask yourself, Is It Good For The Company."
I guess you could bring it up to the 'Bob's' at the next meeting.
It's disgusting. Just accept it.
No-one has complained about me doing it.
What are you using to ice, a bottle or a bowl of water?
HAHA. That's hilarious. I'm sure youre trolling, but I love it. I actually would always ice at my desk when my shins were bad. There was once of those cold packs in the office freezer. NO ONE ever seemed to use it, so I figured what the heck. I started using it everyday. Turns out it was a guys who used it to keep his lunch cold at times. Pretty awkward when I had it rolled up in my dress socks..

So, ice it in the bathroom sink and be sure to groan a lot especially when others come to wash their hands.

I LOL @ this one. Thanks for chuckle, OP.
you should go complain about someone being fat - be certain to say it's gross & distracting & poor hygiene...just like someone icing their foot at their desk.

What about the people that take 20 min cigarette breaks?
3x a day = 1 hour per day = 5 hours per week = 20 hours per month = over 200 hours per year = a lot of time being paid to not work
I keep a golf ball at my desk to roll under my arch when necessary. Every now and then it goes rolling off as golf balls are prone to do.... but my coworkers just accept I'm a little wacky about my "running stuff." Seems like a pack of ice is harmless.... I would ask for an "icing place." Similar to a smoking break, or other breaks folks are allowed. Is there a place you can go to ice?
In seriousness if your HR is hard to deal with - what ice are you using? Blue ice pack? Bag of ice that drips on the floor? Bucket ;)
I wonder if there is some less obtrusive ice you could use to achieve your ice-goal, but also keep out of trouble with the fat whiners.
I've put ice and water in a little microwave bowl to ice my foot under my desk. Hasn't everyone?
Why would ice prevent injury?
