I agree, completely! Upon viewing that, I was able to evacuate my bowels with a power and might I'd never felt before. Then I stuck my fingers down my throat and voided, with great force, the bangers and mash I had consumed just minutes before. Cleansed!

This thread is potato.

Gemma = Anorexic DOPER.
Don't know about anorexic, but definitely a doper.
Certainly NOT anorexic. And what, she wins a road race at which the the top three Kenyans were forced by their federation to withdraw, and that makes her a "doper?"

Agree she didn't look anorexic. What's this about the Kenyan withdraw?
Kenyans who were running at the Commonwealth Games...Joyce Chepokirui was one of them ...were scheduled to come to Beach to Beacon right after their races in Glasgow but the federation nixed it.
The thread criticizing Shalane Flanagan (vis a vis Gemma) was deleted. I guess the brojos don't want to get in trouble with Nike.
Its not Nike. They hate Salazar. They love Jerry and Shalane is with Jerry.

I think some of the Kenyan women withdrew because they were at the Commonwealth Games.
In regards to Gemma Steel and doping I definitely think she's a bit suspicious. How does a person with a profile like this:
http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/great-britain-ni/gemma-steel-262624beat someone with a profile like this:
http://www.iaaf.org/athletes/great-britain-ni/gemma-steel-262624? Even though Shalane is training for the marathon right now after how fast she ran in Boston I feel like she should be able to take down Steel no problem.
Shalane's half-marathon split from Boston is faster than Steel's PB in an open half-marathon for Pete's sake.
Gemma's history as pretty much exclusively an XC and road runner with the exception of low key track races never going above the national level a la Mo Trafeh also makes her a little sketchy.

Hmmm, good question. It seems impossible; these 2 athletes are destined to tie each other at every distance for their entire careers.
There were more than a couple of threads yesterday criticizing Shalane that were deleted. Any thread criticizing or falsely accusing a NOP athlete (i.e. the absurd Centro thread falsely accusing him of doping)gets top headline billing. Double standard indeed.

Gemma Steel's 5k, 5M and 10k times have been consistent for years. That's consistent by season times, she was so poor she couldn't afford even deep tissue massage or physio so never progressed. SO she did roads races as a hobbiest completely unaware of how god she was without actual elite coaching. She lived entirely off natural talent doing this which cleaning toilets, homes and offices. She didn't even join her athletics club until 2009 into her 20's which suggests her potential was hugely missed.
It's just nobody noticed how consistently good they were as UKA never funded her or picked her for championships or even invited her to trials. Hence she had no support or financing and just ran road races to get by. It was only in the last 2 or 3 years somebody in Britain realised they had missed her. Which is typical of our bigwigs.
So I doubt she is a doper, anybody who work as a cleaner while running for years probably isn't doing it for the glory and as I said even though she is more successful that is in part due to her being noticed for bigger races, however she has been pretty consistent in her times regardless.

So....how can Gemma Steel beat Gemma Steel.
I haven't ever heard of Gemma Steel, therefore she must be a doper. There is no way someone with no pedigree is going to beat Shalane otherwise. Mind you I think similarly towards the women who beat her at Boston - no way they did that fairly. Shalane is an Olympic medalist, impossible for her to lose to a no-name like this British girl who didn't even make her Commonwealth team, or why wasn't she competing there?
This is no surprise. Shalane is training for a marathon. Also, at 33 years of age, is no longer a spring chicken.
