Plus in the first round he ran side by side with Kiipketer for most of the race.
Can he pull a Loxsom and medal?

Shaneequa Shanayay
Neat kid, hope he pulls a medal.
What matters more is will he be running in the 1:45-1:42 range 7 years from now? If he doesn't medal here it's FINE. Focus on the LONGTERM. For instance Leonard kosencha won the 2011 world youth championships in a WYR of 1:44.08, and he hasn't raced professionally since 2012. Totally burnt out. Mo aman took 2nd and the OSUM Nijel Amos took 5th in that race, and as of today they have SBs of 1:42.83 and 1:42.45 respectively. World junior medalists in track events have about a 20% chance of medalling in the pros at WTFC and OGTF. (statistically proven) however, Im cheering for tretez even though he's at Indiana. GO USA I DON'T CARE WHO TF IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IIRC he led the whole thing too. Smart racing to keep his heat as fast as the 2nd in case he missed the Q.

Those chances are even lower for NCAA participants.
