Racing a local 5k tomorrow, hoping to run low or sub-16. (PR 16:58).
Then I'll do sprint training for 4 weeks to prove that I can break 12 seconds in the 100 meter dash.

it is finally here! other than Thanksgiving, perhaps the finest day in all of hobbyjoggerdom. post your plans, goals, results, stories, post-race exploits, ect. here!
decided at the last minute to put off a 3x2mi session tonight & bring the pain to the local 10K tomorrow...racing is way more fun than a solo track workout any day:)
Unfortunately I got injured in the lead up to this year. Here's to next year!

Yay!! Finally! I hope you will deliver!
Dropping a deuce as we speak in order to prep for my morning race.
How is the 2nd post in this thread 12 minutes earlier than the initial post?
running a 4mile today and hoping to break 24 min. it will be close though
Running the local half marathon today. My wife asked me to pace her to the over-all female victory. I will be wearing an all-'Merica kit (boa flag shorts, flag bandanna, Captiain America socks, aviators, and a mustache that would make Tom Selleck jealous).

You're the person everyone secretly hates. I hate you, not in secret.

I noticed that also. Maybe the brojos are trying to confuse us.
Update: ran a 16:2x 5k PR this morning. I'll start sprint training tomorrow.
Was In the ports potty before this morning's 5k race, I didn't lock it properly, a guy opened the door and got a look at the battle of the bulge.
For anyone that ran Watermelon 5k in Orlando today, the course was about 100m long. That is 20 seconds at 16:40 pace.
2 of my guys ran a local 5 miler today. I didn't join them because my calves have been hurting (and I couldn't keep up anyway).
They went 30:33 and 30:35 for 2nd and 3rd in their age group. This is a solid effort for both of those boys.
I walked the dogs.
Worst race I've run in 2 years was this morning. 20k in 1:12:18. Started out right on goal pace (and goal pae wouldn't have even been a PR; I'm currently in marathon base phase) and faded hard. 5k splits of 17:17, 18:16, 18:22, 18:23. Ouch.
solid workout! comfortably ran 32 flat for the 10K, which is right at goal HM pace for October. should be doable with 3 months of solid training & good health. now time to stuff my face....
The course was actually 10 feet short. Sorry for the confusion.
Won my local race with ease Ran at a solid tempo pace (5:40) for a "5k" (it was actually 3.01). Slower than most of the studs on this message board. But I just needed the workout and there was no one around to actually race me.
There was one pretender who tried to keep up with me, but I broke him on a small hill in the middle of the course.
I'm the back-to-back champion at this race, have to keep my record strong.
Did you sign autographs for the kids after the race? #rockstar
Jogged a 24:00 4 miler this morning. Not bad with a 77 dewpoint.
anyone run the Huntington Beach 5k? it's usually competitive, and results haven't been posted. curious to see how it went.
Azs handed to me at the Reston, VA 5k. Three guys sprinting for it in 14:3x, the lady winner was way under 17.
