Bill Rodgers has "written" or co-authored a couple of books with a focus on masters or life-long running programs. (I think one was written with Priscilla Welch some years ago.) Rodgers has never appeared to be very scientific or analytical about running and training, which makes it easy to be dismissive of much of what he says or writes, but the guy has consistently shown an outstanding intuition about what works.
