Appreciate any thoughts on what this might be and how to fix it.
The meaty part of my right upper leg (can't tell for sure if it's in the quads or hamstrings) feels "funny." I've been struggling to find ways to describe it properly. It's not pain - maybe more a tingling sensation associated with a poorly defined pressure (but doesn't feel like tightness). Whatever this is, it affects the power I get from my right leg. A typical run at normal effort will be about a half minute per mile slower than before.
I had this same thing last winter for about three months. It ended when I got runner's knee and had a one month forced layoff in April. It affected the strength/power then as well. The only race I ran was a 10k at about 2 minutes off normal time (on a flat, although slippery, course).
Any ideas?
