Alot of smiling faces today during the first developmental meet at the new B.U. indoor track. A pleasure to run on and very forgiving to the legs. I don't know how fast it is but if you get a chance you run on it.

Yeah it was gorgeous. Nice and warm inside too, not like the drafty old armory.
You ran, eh? I was there, watching, wishing I could run. How did you do?
agreed. the new track is great -- bouncy like the old one with good ventilation and intimate. The place will rock for the Terrier Classic. I got dumped in lane 6 for the 400, which meant I was running down a mountain off the break line. Still, it was a great new venue that does the old Armory justice, although the straightaways are kind of short.
one thing to point out, the automatic timer was faulty. it had been set to "wireless" and was looking for a delayed signal -- even though the electronic gun was hard-wired. Any auto times should add about 0.4-0.5. -- although as the meet went on the officials only used the hand backup and ignored the auto. A FinishLynx technician was present and fixed the problem for next week.
Is it sweeter than the Armory?
It won't be so sweet after I tear it up and beat all you loser competitors.

I have to admit. It's much sweeter. And I loved the Armory track.
Though of course, I only did one lap on it today before I realized I wouldn't be able to run any races. And I'm sure it doesn't have any of those cool dead spots we all loved so much. But there's also no armory dust to deal with.
That Armory dust will kill you huh? Glad to hear this a good track!! I guest I have to check it out!
The Special Olympics will not be there niether will any of us on this board so you can't beat us ha ha. Have a great season.
oh man, the only words to describe the new bu indoor track... if the old armory track, the reggie lewis track, and the harvard track got together for a threesome!!! the new track is unreal. i never thought it'd be sweeter than the old, but i have no complaints. although the overwhelming smell of turpentine down the backstrech was a killah! can't wait to race there again :-D rock!
ha ha ha, oh my god! that is the funniest thing i've ever heard! threesomes rock
Dieter Baumann would run ze 5km in 12:50 here!!!!!!!!!
