Wow, yeah, this should be a sweet meet, go RUPP!

Men's 800m:
We got Robby Andrews (who I believe just ran the 800 at the Oxy Invite (not Oxy HP) for a 1:46)- race favorite, we have Mike Rutt (he could probabaly slugg out a 1:45-1:46), James Gilreath (he ran 1:47 behind Leo Manzano at the Texas Relays and 1:47 at Music City Distance Carnival last year), Brian Gagnon (another NJNYTC stud who could sneak under 1:46), and then Eligah Greer (had a great career at Oregon, and really needs to prove himself today)
- NOP Skeptic
Greer doesn't need to prove anything today. He was 4th place at last year USATF championships, beating Milder and Jock amongst others. He's building toward the next level with a new coach this year.
From a solid source Leer is running the 5K
Greer doesn't have to prove anything, but it has been a while since he laced 'em up.
I hope Andrews dips under 1:46.00 here
"Got some heat sheets for the OP (who actually managed to screw up Robinson/Robertson, Jack/Jake, the fact that Jake is a New Zealander and not Australian, Jake Robertson has the 13:16 and not Brett Robinson, etc.)"
-blah blah...typical letsrun poster. take a good OP post and see nothing but negativity. what a turd.
When did Jeff See become a steeple/5k specialist. He has a 3:35 pr, no steeple pr of any significance and a 13:29 5k. He ran the 15 at nats last year
elfie rupp, centro and jordan got that NOPe juice warmed up!
NOP Skeptic--Thanks for the hard work--made for fine reading. I wonder if Hasay and Conley might still be feeling it from the 10000 ten days ago. Gen LaGaze will be going for the Commonwealth steeple standard. At least two heats of the men's 1500 will be great. I'll be looking to see if BMart can go under 2. And it is nice to see Cabral apparently healthy and fit again. And it would be great if Andrews can get back to 1:45.
Please keep writing up the meets in advance.
Temps are going to top 100 in LA tomorrow. May not see some of the times we saw in previous years. Still can't wait!
WIllis is licking his chops thinking of racing Rupp. Let's hope they actually race this time.
First race was listed as 6:15. Now I'm seeing that women's steeple will start @ 7:30. Can anyone confirm the time change (presumably because of the heat)?
NOP Skeptic,
Are you going to be at the meet? Can you interview Centro and anyone else who has decided they'd rather some obscure time trial in the middle of the night that is streamed on the Internet to their dad in his basement instead of representing the country at the only outdoor championships of the season.
Let's start a list of the most unpatriotic American mid-d runners.
Since you are a NOP skeptic, you'll say Centro. I'll say Jenny Simpson.
Sincerely,
Kenny's ghost.
By the time the 5000s come around after 10 pm it looks like it's going to be down to 75, dark, and very low humidity. So not ideal, but not terrible either.

I'm sorry, let's start by interviewing you, f'tard. Do you know that other top countries will be represented by their top runners? Will this really be a championship or a bunch of tier 2 runners competing against each other for a JV champ? Do you know?
Much lower overall quality than prior years. Yes you have a handful of elites rest of these though are b players. Heat could be a major factor although the track is closer to the ocean and it won't be as hot as the rest of LA.
Courtney Frerichs in the women's 3000 steeple is a soph at U of MO-KC (UMKC) who was 6th in last year's NCAA Champs with a 9:55. She ran 9:50 at Drake last month. Rebekah Stowe was a 1500m runner for Kansas, now in New Jersey coached by Gags.
odds Rupp withdraws his certification- 1 : 1.2
IS Willis specifically seeking out Rupp? After the tweets earlier this year, I hope Willis can give him a scare in this 'off' distance for him.
buze diriba might pull off a big upset and win the womens 5000

Calm down. It's just running.
