I'd recommend them if you have a desk job.
Back when I was in shape/had a low resting heart rate, I'd grt achey sitting around from blood pooling in my legs... I'm not so sure about all the recovery/marketing claims, but they did make work more comfortable.
There are 'diabetic' compression socks that will be cheaper, just checkout the amount of compression thy give.
Also if you're too busy to take a sh|t, they're better than executive diapers.
They would be good for carrying morels after you pick them here in the Midwest. The porous material will allow the spores to spread throughout the woods as you walk for future years of hunting. However, a mesh orange bag will work just as well, costs less, and you get 8-10 nice oranges in addition to the bag.
