Funny thing, I noticed a lot of smugness/arrogance around people out running in 5 fingers. Particularly those I saw at half marathons/marathons.
I think the idea of hiking a bit or going around town in them is not so bad, maybe even an occassional run on grass or bark. But people running marathons on the roads? IDIOTS!!! Hell, unless you grew up going around barefoot all day, running a single mile on the roads in 5 fingers is moronic and begging for injury.
That said, vibram should have made some effort to dissuade people from that kind of lunacy and promote them for water activity, non technical hiking or moderate running on soft surface or doing chores around the yard.
