I was able to snag a pair of Skechers Go Run 3s for a pretty reasonable price, so I figured I'd give em a shot to see what they were like. A few impressions.
1. They're really light. I don't have a digital scale or anything to weigh em, but I was pretty impressed. The upper seems pretty thin and lightweight. I don't know about their durability yet, but it seems like there's not much to em.
2. They come without the insoles in em with a 4mm drop with the idea that they're a bit more minimalist I guess. You can put the insoles in and it's an 8mm drop. I know people who take their insoles out anyway, but I guess these are supposed to be a bit more comfortable without em.
3. They do feel pretty seamless on the inside and fine for running sockless (if that's your thing).
4. They seem to run a little big. I may size down a half size on the next ones to see how they feel.
5. They're pretty damn ugly.
6. For someone who likes a really firm ride, these may not be for you. But, if you're into soft cushioning, they're great. I don't mind a softer ride, and these definitely delivered.
Overall, I was more impressed that I thought I would be. I'll see how they hold up and how my feet/legs react to them, but so far so good. If you're into a shoe similar to the Saucony Kinvara, this could be right up your alley.
