who? ...... seriously, who is that guy?
1:07 half marathon, 30:00 10 k, former kent state
closer to 1:06 half marathon
I wanna know how the hell he even got drug tested...
I'm from Ohio and about his age. I recognize that name as a decent are runner collegiately and in high school.
Yes, he's sub-elite, but 1:07 half marathon and 30flat in 10k gives you some money on the road scene.

Like $100 per year?

"non-analytic" so not for failing a test. Maybe turned in by someone like Christian Hesch?
My gut tells me this is a false positive like Bernard Lagat and Marion Jones.

You'd be surprised. I brought in about $500 over the last year from road races plus some gift certificates and such without racing very often, and I'm good for about a 15:00 / 31:00 at best if pushed. I'd imagine someone running close to sub 30 for 10k could pull in a few grand a year if you race often and find the right races.

1:07, 30:00 and 14:3x are podium times in many, many local road races with money prize for the top 3, top 5 or top 10 finishers (or age group winners)
And meanwhile, athletes like him are the "WADA annual sacrificial lambs".

of course it later transpired that Marion had been using EPO all along
in spite of the false positive
lagat is clean though...apparently
No Kenyan population centers close to Ohio? The I-95 corridor in the east is lousy with 2nd tier Kenyans taking all of the prize $$$.
I noticed that. They run in NC, VA, MD and NJ in one weekend. I guess you have to make a living.
The guy didn't test positive, it said USADA had evidence against him. I wonder what it was and how they got it?
Yeah the Kenyans swoop into a lot of the races...let's face it though, they need the money a lot more than we do.

So you acknowledge being subhuman.
You're basically saying one group of people is better than another, I like it. Thats an idea people can get behind if I don't say so myself.
Some guy who came in second more than once to Carnes, is my guess.

This is an interesting story. I guess he was trying to make the jump to the next level.
