Went to buy some new running shoes today, and the kid working at Dicks Sporting Goods said Nike shoes suck. "No one really runs in them."
I ended up buying New Balance.

Who?
That's what Fleet Feet told me as well.
I heard a Dicks' shoe seller in Texas, a D-I runner, tell a customer that Nikes suck. She steered the newbie to some stout alternative brand that cost $50 more. I chatted with the salesperson later, because I teach at her school, and she knew little about shoes. But get this: our university used to be a Nike school, but we switched to Adidas.
My running store is dropping Nike. Nike hates independent shoe stores, their business is big box stores.
Terrible customer service, terrible return policy for retailers and everything is a gimmick shoe (Free, Flywire etc)
good job using suck and dick in the same sentence

I knew Dick (not kidding) back in the day.
Nike shoes do suck for for the most part but they still got the best spikes and some of the best flats the business.
I love the Victory Elites and Streak XC Series.
Depends what shoes you get. The Vomero, lunarglides, structure and pegasus are not bad. But Nike sells the free runs, roshe runs and shoes like the dual fusion to the ordinary person getting into running and yes those do suck for running purposes but hey they get a bunch of morons to buy them
