Like give Leo Manzano $200 to wear a letsrun.com singlet at usatf. On national TV. Or David Verburg.
Maybe that's against some rule or other but I bet it would be profitable, and I bet a few athletes would do it.

No elite would have a GOD DAMN THING to do with Letsrun and you know it.
They might if they are starving and trying to sell t-shirts.
If I was an elite I'd rather retire poor than wear the LetsRun logo
It would be like a witch wanting to be sponsored by 17th century New England Puritans. Not gonna happen.
What about sub- and non-elites? 100 or 50 bucks per televised race. That might be even better advertising.
The viewer isn't going to think, "if I get Nike shoes I can be like that 1:46 Nike guy." But they might just think "if I go to letsrun.com I can be like those letsrun guys that ran 1:55 to 2:05 in the slow heats."
Maybe letsrun could persuade some of the competitors in the Special Olympics...but I think EVEN THEY would know better.

Except the fans would come visit here then conclude that the runners is are ignorant bigots. Not good for building the runners' brand unless they are appealing to the KKK fan base
A 2-minute 800 guy doesn't need a brand. Why wouldn't he take 50 bucks to wear a LR singlet at some indoor meet?
What 16-minute 5k runner wouldn't take 50 bucks to win some local 5k? All the race director gives him is a cheesy medal and a bottle of water.
If the brojos really wanted to do something positive in the sport then they would have done something like this for up and coming talent. But the truth is they are more concerned with having a destructive impact on running in the hope it generates ad revenue for them.
If the Brojos did something like this the sponsored athletes would have taken endless amount of crap from all the letsrun-haters that for some weird reason crawl around on this board.
