That's 3 for 3 at ncaa champs.
beating a 13:00 man.
running 13:26 equivalent. (13:48)
seems like there is no competition for this Frosh.

is that kid even an american? no point to leave the ncaa if he still is a kenyan.
where would he go, NOP or with Schumacher?
kid is 25 years old. he is going no where. get over him.
It really is going to depend on how his outdoor season goes, if he can still out run Lawi during outdoors, maybe.
He is at Oregon. He has a deal set after he graduates with Nike. How many Oregon athletes leave early? Don't you guys realize that if they leave early then Nike wont touch them.
um, rupp dropped out
I thikn he stays as long as humanly possible.
He's Kenyan. Go pro as a 13:40 Kenyan? Are you kidding? It's tough or 1310 guys to make a living.
1) I believe it's financially in his best interests to stay at Oregon for as long as possible and build up as much good will as he can with Oregon/Nike. When he gets out, maybe they 'reward' him for his good service.
If he leaves early, do you really think Nike is going to repay him for leaving Oregon high and dry?
2) Also the longer he stays, the sooner he becomes a US citizen if he wants to do that.
3) In terms of their being no competition for him, do we really know that? Yes, he's had an UNREAL start to his collegiate career but do we really know if he'd beat Lalang in a track race where they are both fresh? The race in ABQ wasn't really a fair fight.
Let's imagine before the Olympic 5000 final, they told Mo Farah, ok an 2 hours before the final, we are going to insist you go out and run a 3:58 mile from the front.
It's like a handicapped race in horse racing where they put on extra weight.
People were saying the same thing about Lawi two years ago and now look. He's still great, but not dominating anymore. Same thing will happen to Cheserek.
God you are such an idiot sometimes.
Centro left early.
English Gardner left early.
Hmmm, Centro and EG both still got contracts with Nike.
BTW, did you know other shoe companies have tried to poach/get Oregon athletes to go pro early???
BTW, Lalang, a 3:52 miler, made the choice to go after a 3 race sweep.
Cheserek could only run the race before him, AND Lawi didn't have to lead and take it out at an honest pace.
Lawi also didn't HAVE to run a 3:58 equivalent for the mile, either -- he led that race and set that pace too.
Lawi and his coach employed stupid strategies. People knock Farah for sitting in the back through most of his title races and than racing the last mile/whatever. But he's got the gold's and the millions now to show for it.
As for King Edward, my guess is that if his times are in order he'll go pro after his junior year -- that is if he doesn't red shirt to prep for 2016, which could effect things...
He'll probably be a USA citizen by then.
There is no way he could make the Kenyan Olympic team, even with American Citizen it would be hard. he is good, but is he that good?
I don't think so. but on the other hand, he is probably already a better racer than rupp.
First you call rojo an idiot and then you immediately proceed on a long-winded rant that is stupendously, profoundly, indefensibly and in all other ways completely irrelevant to what rojo had said!?!?!.
You sir, are a complete moron.
