I don't have to read it. Obama said it so I hate it.

Please go light another candle in your Obama shrine.
Amen, brother. Nothing worse than cliking on a link and wasting your time reading this liberal drivel. I know exactly what this is really about. Short form: basically another tax on business owner's to support the lazy (by way of entitlement) underclass. Obammy knows this has no chance of passing, yet he still wastes everyones time trying to get this through. You'd think with all the shopping he has to do, he wouldn't even have time for his own agenda LOL!

It appears I have touched a nerve. Is it because this is in fact true of all conservatives? Obamas tears could cure cancer and the faux news crew would be up in arms.
The dude isn't even liberal and we already have the "libtard" comments

The liberals already believe that Obama's tears can cure cancer.
And Rachel Maddow could date dudes tomorrow. What? Obama not a liberal? Back away from the bong, please.
I made about 450 a week in 1975.
It really sucks to be poor in today's world.
I know I'll regret this, but how is making employers pay their employees for actual time spent working a tax on business?
OT has been abused by employers for years, and it's gotten worse as threshold wages have been eroded by inflation. McDonald's shift "managers" making a narrow margin over the minimum wage ought to be paid OT. Unlike some of BHO's other arbitrary executive actions this one is well within his statutory authority.
Mandatory overtime pay doesn't generally result in employees earning more. Instead, it forces employers to make every effort to limit employee hours to fewer than the arbitrary cutoff number beyond which any additional hours qualify as "overtime." Every employer I have ever worked for has had a strict "no overtime" policy that prohibited workers from clocking more than 40 hours except for under exceptional circumstances. If you wanted to work more than 40 hours a week, your only option was to find a second job. Also, ever wonder why so many stores are closed on Christmas? Is it because people don't need to shop on Christmas and there's no money to be made that day? No, it's because employers are forced to accrue 50% higher wage expenses on certain holidays, causing them to lose money if they stay open. Mandatory overtime hurts employees and businesses (hurting the latter of which is the actual goal of the anti-business policy).
More political posturing by Obama. His guilt of the damage ObamaCare is doing to his party has him trying to be perceived as the doer of good deeds.
Its actually a sneaky, backdoor way to raise taxes through a regressive tax on working income.
Think about it and follow the money. We are talking about rules that apply almost exclusively to low and middle income wage earners. Moreover it is people who already have jobs and are already claiming various tax benefits like EIC and the child tax credit. Obama's proposal is essentially advocating that certain people who make $30,000 year should be paid $35,000. Now look at the tax paid on that $5000 (the marginal increase in income). I would argue that the taxes on that is upwards of around 40% when you include state taxes, FICA taxes, and Federal income tax. Of course some of that tax burden could be alleviated by contributing it to an IRA. But no matter what, it is a win/win for the wealthy elite who control Obama. The extra overtime pay represents more taxes paid by lower income Americans so that the wealthy doesn't have to pay so much taxes. Or the money goes to Wall Street to help prop up the stock market and earn fees for Wall Street banks.
You'd object to clearing another $2,000-$3,000 for work you're already doing?
