Just got back from another awesome trip to Vegas. Gambling revenues in Vegas are way down, and gambling now makes up a relatively "small" portion of the resorts' revenues. That's why they're now catering to the d-bag club crowd that will pay $500 for a bottle of booze and a table at the club. Vegas is a city that has always been changing.....I hope it continues to stay alive because I love it.
Ohio just opened 4 casinos and 2 racinos. Five more racinos are planned to open in the next year. That can't be helping Vegas any.

Colorado Springs is the next Detroit
On a trip about two years ago I was approached by a hooker at about 3am or so. She was with her friend (they were both black...I'm white). I just said I wasn't interested. That was the only time I've ever been approached by one. But, you can usually pick them out when they're roaming the casinos late at night (early in the morning, technically).
Well what is the solution? I live in Golden Valley Arizona 50 miles from Hoover Dam. I own a well on my property. Should I pump the water and store it for a few decades?

There are a lot of fools on this board. If you think Ohio is going to supplant Las Vegas, you are the biggest. You've probably never even been to Vegas.

Did you read the last line? I don't think I wrote "we will supplant Vegas now." For years and years Ohio had NO legalized gambling. You can thank Lebron James and DHL for getting casinos legalized in Ohio.
No state is going to supplant Vegas but as more casinos open around the country, it's going to take revenue away. You don't have to be a fool to understand that.
I have no interest in gambling but I've been to Vegas. I was out there a few years ago for New Years Eve. Spent nine days there on another vacation.
I do like the Columbus casino when they have free concerts. I saw Blue Oyster Cult last month.
I never gamble in LV, I just get drunk and spend too much money on hookers
As a former resident of the Garden State, I can comfortably say that Atlantic City could fall into the Atlantic Ocean and nobody would give a damn (or even notice for a few weeks...maybe a month). AC is a s***hole.
