How do you get your cash? Do you use an ATM? Have you ever heard of ATM skimming?

Credit cards are much safer than cash.
If someone steals your credit card information and uses it to make purchases, you're going to get your money back.
If someone steals your cash and uses it to make purchases, good luck getting your money back.
I've had almost $400 deposited into my son's 529 plan this calendar year alone, because of purchases I've made with my credit card. Cash doesn't offer that kind of reward.
Its 100% refundable, brother. Plus I get cash back every time I use it.

That depends on where you shop.

No. It DOESN'T depend on where I shop.
No one has stolen cash from people before.

Yes, it does.

If you don't mind sharing, what card do you use? Sounds like it has a great rewards program.

I can't speak for him, but I use a Capital One Venture card - 2% back on everything. I put everything on the card, and pay it in full every month. I've had multiple vacations paid for from the rewards. It's awesome.
We're talking about CREDIT CARDS, Einstein, not debit cards. Try to keep up.

My bank invented a new system a few years ago. They have people stand behind counters inside the building. When I walk in with my check, I sign the back, give it to them, and they hand me a bunch of cash that I use to shop at Target.
Yes, it's a real disaster if someone steals my credit card number, because I have to then cancel my credit card. Sure, the company refunds any fraudulent purchases made by the thief -- but it's very inconvenient for a few days while I wait for the new card, because I have to pay cash for all my purchases. In other words, I have to live just like the OP always lives. Horror!

Just saying, that's a really old-school approach. The vast majority of people use ATMs, which makes using cash vulnerable to the same kind of attack. So if you really are old-school and only take out cash during bank hours by physically entering the building and waiting in line and talking to someone, cool, you're a bit paranoid but you're pretty safe. If you've ever used an ATM, you're not.
are you people stupid?
"Excuse me, America Express?"
"Yes?"
"Someone used my credit card number to purchase something and it wasn't me"
"Oh, how much was the charge?"
"$950.35"
"Okay sir, we've eliminated that charge from your account and will be sending you a new card in the mail"
THAT IS NOT DIFFICULT
BUT THEN YOU DONT GET THE CAHSBACK BONUS!! lol

You should combine that with amex blue cash preferred. 6% back at grocery stores and 3% back on gas and department stores. Nice if you have a family

Another great feature is the reimbursement of all ATM fees. They track that for you too, so I know I've saved about $60 YTD.

Actually I go through the drive through and put my check in a cylinder, push a button, and it gets sucked into the bank where they exchange it for cold hard cash. I guess a little gnome could hide in the vacuum tube and steal some of my cash when it is on the way back to me sitting in the car, but that has never happened yet.
There is an ATM sticking out of the building as you drive up to lane 1 of the drive thru but I have never used it in the 25 years it has been there. I once heard that people actually have to pay money to get their money out of those machines so they never interested me much.
