I was reading over our preview of .US Road Running Champs tomorrow and it talks how the USA Running Circuit Winners get $6000, $4000 and $2500. That's $12,500 per sex and $25,000 total.
I previously was under the impression the circuit winners picked up $25,000 each. I think that is wrong now. However some USA Running Circuit official releases talk of a $25,000 prize.
See this from a USA Running Circuit Article from September "The easiest way for Tegenkamp to retain the lead and ultimately win the $25,000 series grand prize is for him to go out at the innagural (sic) .US National Road Racing Championships, which is 12k in distance, and win. One must remember that Tegenkamp"

Here's one from USATF last December:
http://www.usatf.org/News/Over-
$500,000-in-total-prize-money-to-be-awarded-i.aspx
"USA Track & Field announced the nine events and total purse of $523,700 that will make up the 2013 USA Running Circuit (USARC) schedule, which includes a total of $25,000 being awarded to the men’s and women’s series champions. "
So I wrote previously about the winner of the race this weekend possibly picking up an additional $25,000 for winning the circuit. So have others:

Yet the Official USA Running Circuit Prize Page says the winner gets the $6000:

And I see last year's winners got $6000.
I'm assuming USATF didn't change the prize money. Were they just slopping in their press releases? A few years ago didn't the winner receive more?
Any help appreciated.
