i've beaten the crap out of mine & was looking online for another pair, but all i see is the older version in limited sizes. did adidas stop making it? did they replace it with a similar flat?

NO MORE FREE RANDY - we did not stop making Hagio but we will at end of 2014.

Any idea of what will be replacing it? Will it be a 5K-13.1 shoe in the $80-100 range and under 6oz?
Also, what was up with Adidas at the NYC expo? They only had FIVE shoes (one of which was that God awful springblade). And they didn't have a single Adios Boost in my size early on day 2, not even a pair for people to try on and test fit. Compared to every other shoe manufacturer at the expo, Adidas was a real disappointment.
adidas always is a huge disappointment. I get a good pair of shoes and when they wear out i can never find them again, need to stop playing with that company

not sure which models you are referring to, but for the adios 1 and 2, for instance, both models will have lasted 3 years completely unchanged, except for color updates.
adios 1 went for 2009-2011
adios 2 debuted 2012 and will go until end of 2014
how does the adios 2 compare to the hagio?
thanks for your feed back
From what I have noticed, the Adios 2 has:
Harder and less flexible midsole.
Narrower fit (difficult for my wide feet until the uppers stretched out)
Snugger fit around the heel (good for my narrow heels)
The Adios 2 also feels like it has a higher heel versus the forefoot, and it also feels like a heavier shoe. I could be wrong on these two points as I have not measured the shoes in this regard.
thanks for the info adidas guy. any specifics on a lightweight flat that will replace the hagio? i race/do workouts in the hagio & train in the adios 2, would agree with all these points. weight is 5.X oz to 7.X oz, the hagio being noticibly lighter. less heal drop in the hagio as well. LOVE the hagio for racing/workouts, so lightweight. tried to use it as an everyday trainer and my feet couldn't take it, not enough forefoot cushioning. still would take the old mana 5s over the adios 2 as a training shoe...

I actually do a lot of training in adizero manas. Not sure of the version; the uppers are red/orange with black in the middle and thay have a "sticky rubber" sole. I use them more for daily training and find them a bit more comfortable than the adios (same problem with width but the midsole is softer). So I would suggest these if you want a daily trainer.
I have no idea what will replace the haggio; the takumi sen is an option but they are priced pretty high at the moment.

Correct. Although the Adios 1 had a slight change to the outsole with the green colorway (more durable in my opinion, so a thumbs up there).
Adios line has been around for this long because it's gotten so much attention for its success on the world class level. Unfortunately, there are other shoes that were awesome that get changed too often or completely disappear after a year or two (RC, Pro, Rocket, PR, Hagio).
Do you have an idea why the Adidas market is so limited in the US compared to Europe? We no longer get the Mana, Ace, and a few others over here that we used to.
...
adios 2 is an 22/11mm midsole while hagio is 15/9mm. hagio is actually a bit lower than even that since it has DSP in forefoot that sits lower to ground than rubber.

we are still planning our 2015 range, but hagio is still being offered globally for all of 2014. if you live in the u.s. you may not find them. we offer these globally and each country decided on what they want to offer. btw, mana still exists globally and will all the way through 2014. for those adios 1 lovers, the mana uses the same exact midsole with a modified outsole.
adidoodle
as i mentioned above and previously, we create a "global" range of shoes and the countries decide what they want. why shoes like mana and hagio aren't offered in u.s. has nothing to do with us. of course i'd love to see every single shoe we create offered everywhere. maybe start looking on websites in other countries?

Do you know if the mana still has the midsole post? I remember that gave them a significantly different ride than the CS and Ace.
I have a neutral strike, that's why I ask.
adidoodle
yes,the mana does have the "post." but it is not a 2nd density in the EVA. instead it is a extremely thin "film" wrapped on the outside of the midsole. we call it promoderator. we believe that "blocking" the foot is not necessarily the best way to stabilize the foot. it shouldn't be obtrusive but sorry if it is for you. the mana from several seasons ago did have a traditional 2nd density in the midsole. in fact, if you go back a few years, there was a split 2nd density - one in heel and one in forefoot to maintain forefoot efficiency. for those of us who love the adios 1 midsole, the current mana feels very similar.

That's awesome to hear. Yeah the double posted mana is the one I remember. I'll have to keep my eye open for the mana 7 online (adidas europe is asking 99 euros! lol).
I do plan on trying out the Adios Boost when it becomes more available locally.
adidas product team member,
Any idea when the Phantom will be brought back. It was the best shoe they ever made. Thanks in advance.

not sure if you're serious or not, but in the spirit of answering questions honestly: we will not bring back the phantom as it was. as you may have noticed, innovation in midsole technology and upper materials have advanced quite a bit in the past 20 years. however, i do like the name. maybe we can use it again on something.
Where can I still get a pair of hagios online?
