Please provide your top three recommended marathon racing flats. I have a race in a month and need to replace some very old Asics. FYI, I'm a 2:35ish marathoner and 6 ft ,155lbs. My form is fairly neutral.
Thanks!

6 ft, 155 lbs, neutral, 2:35 marathoner?
You could run in Keds or PF Flyers and not have any problems.
Thanks for the reply. I don't want to go too light as I'm pushing 40 and my knees have been sore after long runs in trainers.
Nothing beats the Nike Lunaracers.
Brooks T7
I'm not neutral and love the STs
Interesting question! I actually need 3 marathon shoes since I've recently acquired a third foot.
NB1400
NB 1400's
PI N1s
adidas adios boost
Consider the now discounted Nike Zoom Streak 4. These are light, yet have good, responsive cushioning from front to back. I'm 5'11 150 and 48 yo, a forefoot striker, and I really like these shoes. I think they have for me the right balance of firmness and cushioning.
In the recent past I have also raced in Adidas Feather, Lunaracers, and even Skechers. Nothing wrong with any of these shoes -- you just have to find what fits you best for your needs.
Kangaroo boots.
Adidas Adios
My marathon PR shoe is Adidas Response Comp. It was released in 2004, good luck on your search.
New Balance 1400. Best shoe ever.

Yes. This is my favorite shoe of all time. They will probably change it soon though and ruin a good thing.
Best: Skechers (proof: Meb)
Worst: Adidas (proof: Hall)

Hall wears Asics.

They ruined it 2 years ago when they came out with the Adios 2 (still a good shoe, but the original was better)....I don't have any experience with the Adios Boost yet, and will have to burn through a few more pairs of original Adios before I have an excuse to shell out $140...
My vote for three shoes would be:
Adios 1
Adios 2
NB 1400
Bonus shoe: Asics Hyperspeed 3/4 if you can find any

This is my vote too. These shoes have amazing cushioning for their weight. I do most of my training in them as well.
