Has anyone else noticed how many fast Kenyans have Kip in their name and how many fast Ethiopians have Gebr in their name? They just seem to dominate distance running. I can think of plenty of runners names that contain either a Kip or Gebr. Just to name a few:
Kipsang
Kiprotich
Kipchoge
Kipruto
Kipchumba
Kipsiro
Kiplagat
Kiprop
Kiputani
Kipketer
Gebrselassie
Gebrhiwet
Gebrmariam
Gebrmeskel
Curoiusly, certain superstars like Bekele and Rudisha don't have Kip or Gebr in their name. I guess the Kips and Gebrs aren't invincible, but they certainly are very good.
