The insured? Insurers? The government? Who's getting paid?

The gov't. Because the insurers have refused to cover those most in need of their services and the poorest people who have no coverage, the gov't has been subsidizing the care that is provided to them. By forcing the insurers to cover more people and forcing those able to buy insurance that don't have it, the gov't will be able to spend less on subsidies and shift that focus to more important things like eradicating global warming.
Obviously, the hospitals and the insured, who pay far less than currently. The gov't also gets a break on the deficit.
absolutely zero clue, dude wrote:

Oh no the poor doctors. They will only get an 8% to 10% pay raise every single year instead of a 15% - 20%. Their life will be over.

Physician salaries have steadily DECLINED (adjusted for inflation, of course) since the 80s. Dumba$s.
Portly middle-aged women of about average intelligence with titles like Evidence-based nursing supervisor, physician accountability manager, and healthy lifestyle coach.
It was a republican plan to decrease govt spending. Now they hate it because Obama is president.
Insurance companies and the currently uninsured poor will benefit/get paid. The wealthy and insured will subsidize it.

Of all the answers here, this is probably closest to the right answer.
You take your kid in for a routine exam and vaccinations...you should just pay. What point is there to having this intermediary (the ins co.) and the inane paperwork associated with processing this "claim".
A "claim" is for something unexpected (car wreck, aneurysm, etc) not for something routine and expected.
Get rid of the ins co. and some (perhaps most) of the lawyers. Problem mostly solved.
I dropped dental. Guess what, it works fine. I pay for the services I need, there is no paper pushing, I can go to any dentist I want.
It is not really accurate because nearly everyone will be insured. The ACA should also lower the costs of caring for the poor, it is cheaper to subsidize care on the front end than pay for uncompensated ER care when things get ugly.
I think something that people don't realize is that there is no such program as Obamacare, Obamacare is a law that basically expands Medicaid funding and puts new rules on the private insurance market (no lifetime limits, no pre-existing exclusions, etc).
It does not do a lot to change the overall framework/market set-up.
Insurance companies will probably make less per person, as the exchanges and interstate insurance markets put downward pressure on prices. However, with more people covered, the net could be similar. I don't know about this.

This is very true, but unfortunately it is ingrained in our culture right now that medical care just isn't something you should ever expect to have to pay for. Very strange, but true.

So there'll be no change over the current system?
I do! I am in an industry that makes a lot of money when big government steps on the necks of small businesses. I am against Obamacare but am making a lot of money from it. Right ow I am loving life.

Steps on their necks? By giving them tax breaks?
Uh, what? The gov will be subsidizing a more now than before on everyone with insurance under like 3 or 4 times the poverty level. It STILL will be comparatively less valuable for low and middle income people, since the tax exemption on the employer side incentivizes employing high income employees more. You people need to read some journal articles on the incentive structure of the ACA. It's an economic mess, and doesn't even attempt to truly reform health care; but rather, just health insurance reform. Costs will continue to rise since the ACA artificially increases demand for service.

Good one. You mean...Tax breaks to try to offset a portion of the massive premium increases and additional mandated "administrative" taxes that will be levied on them.
You libtards kill me. If everyone is coming out on top and getting tax breaks and cheaper, richer benefits who is paying for this thing? Nothing is free. I guess we will just keep kicking the debt can down the road and pay the piper at a later date.

"Massive premium increases", but "cheaper, richer benefits"? Taxes being levied, but they're getting tax breaks? Could you be any more contradictory?
