do the creators know that you can buy these at any major marathon expo?

I agree. Already done in a million ways. If you went to the website, she brags how her husband wrote code for it (which must have taken him ten minutes tops). They are asking $20,000 to start the project! Absolutely absurd.
I was surprised Ryan's didn't include "don't start" and "drop out now".
hell you can make your own free paceband at marathonguide.com. Like most things with running now-a-days, marketers try to sell people a bunch of stuff that you really don't need. i.e., expensive sun glasses, fuel belts, goos/shots/beans, tech/compression apparel, $70 running shorts, etc.
Yep. You can even get a free one sent to you at findmymarathon.com. You don't even have to make it (or pay for it).Not that one really needs one.

I laughed, and I agree that the band is completely worthless.
Don't see the point on this. If you have a GPS watch one simply needs to monitor their pace throughout the duration of a race. No need to check times each mile marker to know if you are on pace or not.
As said - if anyone involved with this or promoting (RYAN H ) would know that these things are given away at Expos.
Pretty lame - if that is what motivates RH well...............................
Apprecite the effort but...... wrote:

I like the bands better than the watch. Simpler imo.
But yes I got mine for $3 at an expo.

lmao
There's a great pic of Jackie Garreau, winner of the women's race at Boston in 1980 (Rosie Ruiz's day of infamy) with her splits written along the inside of her left forearm. Would have made a great tattoo had they been popular then.
