I was wondering if anyone had experience running in minimalist/semi-minimalist shoes and then going back to regular shoes.
More info on me.
Started XC junior year ran in nike free run. Spring tack ran barefoot. 12th grade summer decided to go back to shoes because running barefoot wasnt going to make me fast. Ran in nike free 3.0s had decent success for two years running. Always injury free.
College started and I started running barefoot got hurt. Took a year off. Started running in Altras, which are not minimalist but they are semi-minimalist, 0 drop and such. I have done well in those, but I want to try other shoes as well and just use Altras in my rotation. Shoes im considering are saucony ride 6 (8mm drop), Brooks launch (10mm drop), NB 890 (8mm drop), and Nike pegasus (12mm drop).
Will going back and forth take adjusting? is it too much to go back and forth between those drops?
Let me know what you think and if you have had any experience. Thanks
