Anybody ever try the Asics lyte 33 shoe?

I really want to buy, but too many people saying the shoe is fragile and falls apart.

I had the red/black ones, I like theme because they are light, yet comfortable enough for longer runs, 10+ miles. I have used them for speed work as well. Thanks for the link, I got 2 more pairs of the black/white model for $31.06.
To be honest, this color http://amzn.to/GzPidt is way better in my opinion, and for $33 for some of these you can't really regret trying? I like mine for easy stuff and cooldowns.
how durable were they???
I really enjoy the Lyte33s. Mine had about 500 miles and were still in good shape when I studded them for winter running. I put another 100+ miles on them during the winter and they haven't fallen apart yet. I just bought the Lyte33 2s last week.
I use them occasionally but they're too thick soled for me to use regularly so I don't have much experience myself with their durability. But my oldest son runs in them most of the time, usually around 100 mpw, and the Gel Lytes last as long for him as other shoes have.

I have found them to be durable enough for my needs. The material has still held together, and the bottom doesn't look extremely worn yet. I am a lighter runner, but I tend to wear out the outsides on the bottoms of my shoes the quickest. I like how these are holding up.
Just brought a pair. I'll try them out.
I had a pair and liked them quite a bit. Like others said, pretty normal mileage. I think 500ish is when I retired them. Could have gotten a bit more if I needed to.
Too much shoe for me... I wish I can wear the ones that last long in mileage but my feet doesn't like it. They feel great initially but once I start running in them, my feet goes numb. Too much cushion? Doesn't matter if it's this brand or another--too heavy.
Why are all colors the same price, except for the black and red one? It's about 7 dollars cheaper.
I have around 350 miles on my Gel Lyte33 1s. That blue/green combo. Overall very happy, and I even slightly pronate and heel strike, so I was worried they were too minimalist for a regular training shoe for me, but I do almost all my long runs and tempo runs in them. Going to be buying the 2s this or next week, which I understand are similar but a roomier toe box, which I will appreciate since the tighter front area and upper is my one niggle with the 1s.
