Even though I just bought a pair of Nike Zoom Streak 4 from RW, I'll probably buy these too and give them a try. For older guys like me that appreciate the extra cushion, I'm looking forward to trying them out. A bit pricey at $140...
Sad to say, I don't think the boost cushioning is responsive enough for a flat. Maybe it will be in a lower thickness or if they change the durometer. The Adios is great as it is.
Hi guys. I've had a pair of the adios boost since April and I ran the London Marathon in them this year. As a marathon shoe I cannot fault them, my legs felt much less fatigued in the final few miles than in the past. I also used them in a 10k about a month after and although they still performed well, I should of worn my regular adios 2's in the shorter race as they are a bit more responsive as Brian says. As a marathon shoe they are fantastic and I will be wearing them again in Frankfurt in a few weeks time but for shorter races I will wear the regular adios 2's. Just a quick note on sizing, I am a UK9 in the adios 2 but the UK8.5 in the boost are the same fit so you might need to adjust the sizing down slightly. Also the boost is slightly heavier than the adios 2.

Wilson Kipsang ran the world record in adios 2, not the adios boost. further review needed?

I've got a Half at the beginning of November and I'd like to find a decent flat to wear.
I typically train in the Kinvara and that new Nike trail shoe (Terra Kiger), both of which are pretty minimal.
Is this a solid option for a Half? I'm not sure about that price tag, but I'll pay it if the show is good enough. I saw that Fam liked it, but I don't know if that is sincere or not...
Anyone think this is a decent flat for a Half? I see from one guy above that it is not recommended for the 10k.
My adios boosts were destroyed after four weeks of running - just under 200 miles. Hole in the toe developed at around 120 miles and just got worse, then the heel was worn right down and those little bubbly bits of sole are rouch and can be felt when running. Adios 2 usually last around 400 - 500 miles before I replace them.
Adios 2 are more responsive.

These shoes actually aren't very minimal. They have a 10mm drop, which I personally love. The rubber on the sole is very solid and probably adds to the weight of the shoe, which is surprisingly heavy for a thin racing flat. I got a pair a few months ago and absolutely love them, but had no prior experience with Adidas shoes. I've used them in track workouts and cross country races so far and they have been great. They feel even better on the roads, and I might consider using them for an upcoming half marathon. I have been training in Asics Gel-1000 series forever (now the GT-1000) and definitely like a more solid feeling shoe than the Kinvara or similar.
