Looking for a racer for my fall marathon. I've been doing my training in Adidas Boston 3, NB890V2 and NB1400 but I'm torn on whether to use the NB1400 for my race? I like it but I'm curious to see what else is out there. I'm thinking about giving the Adios v2 a try or maybe the Lunar Racer v3. Any opinions/critiques will be most welcome.
Lunaracer v3 is a great shoe- but it is a lot softer than the other models you have been using (to the point of being squishy by comparison).
The Adios 2 is a surprisingly good shoe; it looks clunky, but has a totally different feel when in motion. It puts you in good position for quicker stuff, and firm cushioning without being hard.
Since you already do significant training in the NB1400, that of course would be a good choice. Maybe you could get the Adios 2, work it into your rotation, then choose between the 1400 and Adios 2. But if in doubt, stay with the 1400- never use anything you don't have total confidence in on the starting line.
