All I have is an old pair of nike marathoners. They served me well but it's about time that I replaced them.I'm looking for a lightweight shoe that I can use for tempo runs or the occasional 5k-10k road race. Any suggestions?

Adidas Adios
Brooks Green Silence
Thanks. Does Nike put out any good ones?
Nike zoom streak LT2.
Saucony Type A5.
And I'll +1 for the Adizero Adios.
Decide first...do you want a standard heel/toe drop or do you want the 4mm.
If you've been running a long time and go to the 4mm, it feels weird and it can make your peroneal tendons sore.
New Balance 1400
Adizero Hagio
Nike Lunar Spider R

I'm neutral and efficient - have loved the lunaracers. Do either the original or Lunaracer+. Haven't had any experience with the newer uppers this season but have heard they are great. A pretty narrow show, but very cushy and light. Great half and marathon shoe. I'm a 1:10/2:30 guy BTW.
If you liked the Nike Marathoners, you may want to try out the Skechers GoRun Meb Speed. Very similar fit and feel, but a superior shoe IMO.
NB 1400. All the way up to marathon. And I got well over 500 miles on my first set. Could have kept using them, but I wanted a new color. Now I have two new colors.
