I usually race in my regular training shoe (Asics Cumulus). Got a pair of flats (Asics Hyperspeed) a few months ago, and have been doing some easy runs (4-6 miles) to get used to them - haven't had a chance to do any quality in them. However, on my last easy run with them, they felt great - feels like a totally different rhythm running in them, it's a buzz.
My question is: is it a good idea for me to do my half in them next week? Or should I wait until I've done some tempos etc? What's the worst that could happen?
(If it's relevant, I'm expecting to run between 1:20 and 1:22)
