Well I'm 16 and just started running after the cycling off season started for me 2.5 weeks ago. I had bad knee pain on the outside of my knee in kinvara 3. Went to treadmill analysis to get new shoes.
They said I was a heel striker and I landed on the outside and my ankle rolled inwards. The worker said a decent amount of over pronation. I'm now in Saucony guide 6 stability shoes. This makes me feel slow to be honest as most people with stability shoes seems to be 250 pounds vs my 135.
Should I try to change to a forefoot/midfoot stride?
Run is stability shoes, which seem to be for more non competitive people?
Or try a different neutral shoe then the saucony?
35-40 miles a week is what I'm doing just starting. Planning to build to 70-80-90.
