fixed
2:22.28
after 3:45, 3:52, 3:49, and 3:36.
not that impressive.
Beautiful run by Mo. His last 600 was a work of art.
Mo won in 17:26?!?!!! That's gotta be the slowest winning time in any championship 5k men or women!
Anyone get the last 800?
If this doesn't say it all, I don't know what does. Come on - really!?
1:51.5 last 800
1:51.5 last 800[/quote]
Kinda sick

If the overall time was fast then it'd actually be sick.
Farah delivers a 2:22 to come home in 13:26,
Bekele (2009) finishs in 2:23 to beat Lagat in 13:17

If it was truly 'sick' then how come there were several who were right with him down to the end.
Great race. Mo's a great champion. But there was nothing 'sick' about today's performance.

What's your point?
Better check your numbers...they don't add up.

When Bekele won he led the whole thing but the pace was probably a lot less erratic. Todays race the pace was jumping all over the place which is harder on an athlete.

Probably means nothing. Was it actually less erratic or not? Farah's race today didn't seem that erratic. It never is. He stays in the back and does his own thing. At one point, he was 50 meters behind the leaders.

It was erratic for the kenyan and ethiopian leaders, not Farah. If you watched the race, he just hung back and remained smooth and made slow changes in pace.
