Try the Lunar Glide- no kidding. I've been running for 42 years and I have never liked a shoe more.
id say the boston is most responsive...the new ghost, ride and pegs are all awesome shoes too. i think the best bet would be to find some place to go try them on.. theyre all going to last about the same except the boston which might ware a bit faster because its a lighter trainer. and as to which one feels more natural its going to depend on your foot...
Because you said brooks ghost I would also try the Nike zoom elite 6. They were suggested to me by sales associate as similar to brooks ghost and that neutral category but lightweight
You may find this hard to believe, but I am currently training in all of those shoes, mostly older models. The Glide 4 is fairly responsive, but not much cushioning in the forefoot and the heel drop was too much. Tried on the glide 5s, but just felt softer and not as responsive. The Ride 5 just feels dead and unresponsive. The Ghost 5 is plush and great for long runs. The Pegasus 29 is too soft-feels like a marshmallow. The adidas Boston 4 is fantastic-firm, responsive, feels light and great for everything from track, tempos, long runs and could work for half and full marathons. I would also recommend the Brooks Glycerin. I ran in the 10s, and it was firm, cushioned and lasted longer than most other training shoes I've owned.
Who is this?
