It ain't a new question at all, but the more I read the more confused I get.
I'm not a maratonist nor I plan to run anything longer than 50k/week. Usually my routine consists of HIIT's and shorts 5k or 10k runs.
That said, I just bought a new pair of Mizuno Inspire 8 thinking it would give me the support I need to get rid of my shin splints and knee pain (I'm a mild to moderate overpronator), but it turned out to be too bulky to my taste. The next step would by acquiring a Mizuno Elixir and see if it suits my needs, right?
But what about the Musha 5? Would you recommend it over Elixir for someone like me? If they are interchangeable, where does the Musha stand in terms of durability?
One last question. Do you guys use a heart rate monitor? I have a Garmin Forerunner 610 but I'm not inclined to buy the Garmin Premium soft strap. Are there any other strap you would recommend? I heard a lot of good stuff about the Magellan one, but not enought to make up my mind
