Fastest time we've seen in a very long time and we know how the others did it. Anything new here?

Given what NativeSon and Renato Canova have posted I don't think so.
Well, he does appear to be a freak of nature just looking at him. I know that's no proof, but it's at least a plausible explanation. No one else is that skinny and tall and has 49 speed on a dirt track. He's super fast but also extraordinarily light. But yes, he could be doping.

He's run faster than that, right? I thought he'd run at least 48 open, maybe even 47.
If Alan Webb can run 3:46 (likely clean) it by no means surprises me that a guy who "looks the part of a miler" can run 3:27.xx.
I believe he could be clean. He always looked like the real deal to me and has run and won many races at much less than 100% effort. This time seemed inevitable.
No on the other hand is not clean. I would bet every penny I have that he is doped to the gills.
we don't "know" that el gourrouj or lagat weren't clean. we never really will know either unless we get a confession, and that's not going to happen.
No=mo (damn auto correct)

Webb's best 1500 was 3:30 (just before the 3:46) at the zenith of his career. So Kiprop is legitimately 3 seconds faster? I'm just not believing it.

we've got a good idea
No one in track is clean, esp Salazars group

Lagat was clean. El Guerrouj was a dirty doper like all his compatriots.
Makes me realize Seb Coe sucked in reality as a 1500m runner.. dude had 1:41 wheels, but no strength to only run 3:29-high. No wonder he was a 14-min 5000m man.
Look at Farah, pure strength killing it.

Yeah only two gold medals. he sucked. they should never have let him try for a 3rd or he would have won that one too.

Different era Einstein. That was nearly 30 friggin' years ago you're talking about. That's like comparing 1986 to 1956. Everything has improved since then, especially nutrition and training modalities.
Kiprop spends autumn and winter doing xc. He has great strength and speed.
LR has AR next to his name...wtf?

Well, it is an AR of course.

Yeah, the two biggest apologists for Kenyan doping I've ever seen.
At least no one's gonna use the tired old "freak of nature" excuse here.
Oh wait, it happened - third post.
Dude is doped to the dorsals.
that 14 min 5k of seb's was a tempo run check it out on youtube.
