Shit...that is sad. I don't believe there have been any 777 fatalities...hopefully that doesn't change today.
I certainly hope not, but it will be a damn miracle if there are no fatalities based on the description of the damage.
The fact it was landing rather than taking off is a good thing
Looks like it came down before the runway based on the debris trail. Tail section can be seen at the very start of the runway. Massive fire, too. The top of the fuselage melted.
Oh great...lets's cue all the armchair aviation experts. Thank god the world is run by actual experts and not Letsrun.

There are thousands of people on lets run. Don't you think that it's likely that some of them are experts?
NYDN on scene. One passenger tweets that people around him seemed OK. But report from airport worker of casualties.

People seemed pretty casual about the whole affair. Walking away from the wreckage carrying their luggage and having a jolly old time. If I was there I would've sprinted the f&ck away from the wreckage in case it blows up into a fiery ball of death.
So should I get on letsrun and talk to all these people about a plane crash? That would just be crazy.

I do not think it is likely. Sure there are probably some pilots and engineers, but that doesn't mean they are very qualified to comment on the cause of a crash, especially with limited info. Anyone who is truly knowledgeable and has access to the right information is probably pretty busy and not on Letsrun right now.

Who's commenting on the cause? Learn to read, moron.

While perhaps he wasn't quite getting at "cause", I think this fits my criteria pretty nicely. Perhaps you are the one who ought to go back to 3rd grade?

No it doesn't. Those are simple observations, you retard.

That is more than an observation. That is an observation and an inferred conclusion. How does someone as dumb as you function in everyday society?
Three posts into this thread about a tragedy and already LRC has turned to infighting about who is qualified to post. Can't we all just get along?
You need to be an aviation expert to observe pieces of airplane at a location they don't belong and conclude the plane may have passed over the location? You really are a dumb fvcktard.
Took off from Korea... probably crashed due to the copilot not wanting to speak up about an obvious problem to his superior. Anyone?

Actually, you do. But don't let your ignorance stop you from believing whatever you want.
