Hi everyone,
I've had a Casio G-Shock watch for about 6.5 years and it finally died on me, so now I'm looking for a new one. I've heard a lot about GPS watches and such, so I'm wondering if I should get one.
For the most part, I'm a pretty inexperienced guy who's never used a watch for anything more than timing and telling the time, so if I were to get a GPS watch, I'd prefer something with just the simplest functions, like tracking distance and getting a pace.
Also, I suppose I should mention that my old watch was solar-powered and I didn't have to physically charge or change the battery at all for the entire time I had it, which was probably my favorite feature.
So here's a few questions that maybe a few more experienced folks can answer:
-Are there any specific GPS watch brands you'd recommend?
-Are there any significant downsides to GPS watches?
-Are there any GPS watches that are solar-powered? Or do they all need to be consistently charged?
Thanks!
