I work for a large sports apparel vendor and today the UA rep came by to hawk the UA line. While discussing UA compression tights, the rep claimed the compression fabric UA recently developed "absolutely reduces" lactic acid build up.
When pressed for scientific proof, the rep claimed a study at the Univ. of Connecticut recently has substantiated this claim.
If a fabric has been invented by UA that "absolutely reduces" lactic acid build-up, wouldn't that be one of the greatest inventions of this century? Wouldn't everyone be running 10K's and marathons in them?
What do you think? Can a fabric reduce a chemical process that is lactic acid? To me, it makes as much sense as walking around in a pair of Sketchers and believing weight loss is imminent due to the design of the shoe. That lawsuit was just settled.
