Whatever killer instinct he used to have is now gone. Too bad, he had a lot of promise.
Is it me but does he look overweight? He just doesnt look as athletic and mobile anymore
someone help carry him out of the field he looks death haha OMG MF Nike give that contract money to Leo the Lion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a gutless race. He could have at least run like he has some pride and a pair of stones.
everyone has a bad day now and then. that said, wheating hasn't come close to his 3:30 form of a few years ago...he needs to change something quick or he's going to spend his best years in the webb-german fernandez-robby andrews vortex.

"A" bad day? He has too many bad days, and then apologizes for them on twitter.
He needs to sac up and fire his coach. He needs (if he hasn't already) to kick his brother out of his house, be embarrassed enough about not earning his PHAT Nike paycheck, and find a new environment and coach to get his head straight and put fire in his belly again.
His coach is Vin Lanana, not just anyone. I agree though, probably time for a change. Salazar's group is looking pretty inviting to 1500m runners these days
He gave up today...bottom line
He gave up a long time ago.
Last year he was fighting injuries or the effects of, I thought. This year I don't know. Is he still fighting the injury bug?
Listen to the interview his PF was about to snap
Perfect time for him to make a coaching change as his training partner is heading east....
There's no such thing as happily ever after.
I'm a never was small college guy and I had no trouble running 3:56 while graduating with an honors degree in biochemistry. 4:01 is a soft workout for a pro.
Sad to see this result out of Wheating. There's not a good many things worse than wasted potential.
1500?
1600?
full mile?
he was pretty sharp in the semi but clearly this was about an injury. However, he should absolutely move to Salazar or Jerry because his current team is not getting it done and you can't let that much talent rust. This was a guy who ran 3:30 in his first European 1500m ever, after a long college season of indoor/outdoor champs and many races.
Wheating is supremely talented, but he is not a champion. Doesn't have the eye of the tiger. Never will. Leo, Centro, and Lomong have never run as fast as Wheating has (3:30). But they made the team because they are clutch.
I think it was a 1600
