I am a gov't contractor and will be laid off soon. I work for Boeing on an Air Force contract. I am thinking about what to do for a career change. My three thoughts are: pharmacy school, nursing school (CRNA), or actuarial science. I have 2 kids so taking time off for school is a little worriesome but those are high paying careers especially for CRNA. Also, I have passed 1 actuarial exam. Has anybody gone through a career change at the age of 30 with 2 young kids?
My advice to college students is to never get a math and/or economics degree. Get a biochemistry or engineering degree with a minor in the field of your choice.
