Personally, I don't have any problem with it. You?

sounds good to me. who is he hurting? southern baptists?
I wish people would find ways of protesting that didn't involve disrespecting the flag but it certainly shouldnt be illegal
right ruling, guy is a douche bag
the fact that someone made a law concerning the way you hang a piece of cloth is asinine.
the fact that this ties up our courts and costs money is even more asinine.
That must have been the easiest decision that judge has ever had to make
So much patheticness on display here.
Firstly, the supper club should never have had it's liquor license denied
Secondly, the guy shouldn't have got so worked up about it, he should have found somewhere else to drink instead
Thirdly, flying a flag upside down is a pathetic attempt of a protest
Fourthly, the police should never have bothered getting involved
Fifthly, the judge shouldn't have wasted his time hearing the case in court
Sixthly, the journalist shouldn't have wasted his time writing an article about all this crap
Seventhly, you shouldn't have bothered making a thread about it
Eighthly, I shouldn't have bothered responding
seriously, who cares. it really is just a piece of cloth at the end of the day. i'm as patriotic as anyone, but i wouldn't even have a problem wiping my own rear end with the flag if the TP ran out.
You know the Supreme Court has already held there is a First Amendment right to burn the flag as a sign of protest, and that anti-desecration statues are unconstitutional?

Would you be in favor of a piece of cloth depicting KKK members stringing up blacks with some sort of a rally slogan beneath it?

That's a great post.
It was all worth it just to have that post written.

You are not as patriotic as anyone if you say garbage like that. You tell that to a member of this countrys military and they would hate you for it. Respect for the flag is important. This guy has the right to do this just as much as you have the right to wipe your dirty a$$ with it, doesn't mean people have to like it.
Well since SCOTUS has ruled that burning the flag is okay, then flying it upside would be okay.
It is a distress signal though so maybe someone should burst through his front door or ring his doorbell every few hours to make sure he is okay.
if the reason for denying the liquor license was because of too much competition, that is lame. It is not the government's job IMHO to limit competition. Competition in business is good. It can drive down prices or drive up quality or both.
does anyone else think that religion should be for people OVER 18 years old? im not one of these people thats trying to exterminate christianity, but i think it is harmful to children. i think children should be taught math and science and evolution. children cannot distinguish the difference between science and evolution, so we need not brainwash them with religious fairy tales. once they are an adult, if they want to be religious at that point then fine. but a law needs to be passed to prevent parents from indoctrinating young minds with rubbish opinions instead of scientific facts.
