Just watched Mo and Galen run a workout in Provo, Ut and my mind was blown.
6x1600m (4:22, 4:18, 4:15, 4:13, 4:03, 4:04)
2x400m (53, 50)
All. At. Altitude.
Not sure what the rest was exactly...

400's with running starts at altitude. A 53 and 50 seem believeable.
What were Ritz and Levins doing?

Wow very good workout. It seems like they were replicating a race by starting the 1600s so slow and then killing the last two. Those 400s really make them sprint when they are dead. This workout shows that they are in good shape and Pre was just an off day. It would be hard to not see them both medal in the 10k if this is what kind of shape they are in.

They were not present.
On another thread I posted that Galen would break the AR this summer and was called "dumbest post ever". I'm gonna say it again here: he will PR and break the AR in the 5000 THIS summer.
I thought Mo tweeted that the the workout was this AM?

I didn't start this thread until I left work...
I apologize if you feel wronged and misled.

Lol, just trying to rectify Mo's twitpic and your report.
So, what TIME did you see the workout...or how did you hear about it and etc.?
I was there too
First rep went off at 9:36

In the right race, no doubt he is capable of it. He was last year.
Not surprising in the least. Galen Rupp is the best runner in the world right now.
5/10
Rupp closes workouts with sub 4s.
yeah...if i were doing that workout, i would run the last 1600 faster than the penultimate one. seems like a fai l on the workout...mentally weak to come so close to the time but not exceed it. will both lose in moscow no doubt.
